Safety Regulations English (en) Print servers are network interfaces for printers in office environments and are designed for the direct integration of printers into networks. Print Server Controls and Technical Data 1) Network activity LED (yellow): The LED lights up when data packets are being received. 2) Status indicator LED (green): The LED shows that the print server is operational. 3) D-Sub connector for STP 4) Connector for SEH power pack 5) Link indicator LED (green): The LED lights up when a (physical) connection to the network is available.
Mounting the Print Server The print server is a so-called slot card that is simply inserted into the provided slot. The print server has been configured for a ring speed of 16 MBit/s. To use the print server with a ring speed of 4 MBit/s, remove jumper J7 from the print server board. Prepare the printer 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Proceed as follows: Turn the printer off. Disconnect the printer's power cord. Remove the data cable connecting the printer to the computer. Remove the screws from the interface cover.
If the print server is used in printers which are not providing sufficient power supply, an error message is printed. In this case the print server must be operated using the SEH power pack. SEH power pack (item no. M02900) Additionally the jumper J51 must be put to 'ext. power supply' on the print server board.
