Warnings and Faults
Both warnings and faults are displayed on the User Interface screen.
Warnings
The SE-3 Patroller displays various warnings on the User Interface screen.
Warnings inform the user of situations that may cause reduced performance,
but will not stop the SE-3 Patroller from operating.
Release Throttle
This warning occurs if the throttle is activated while attempting to enter
DRIVE mode (Figure 55).
If this happens, release the throttle and DRIVE mode will be enabled.
ReduceSpeed(TopSpeedExceeded)
This warning occurs any time the vehicle is going faster than the maximum
speed. See "Segway SE-3 Patroller Specifications," p. 15.
When this occurs the rider should use the brakes to safely slow the vehicle.
Driving faster than the top speed is not recommended and could expose the
rider to unsafe situations that could lead to to falls and personal injury.
