Cleaning the Segway SE-3 Patroller
WARNING
Do not clean the Rider Detect Mat or Tires with any specialized cleaners. Use of such products may reduce traction, increasing the risk of a fall.
To clean the SE-3 Patroller:
1. Make sure the SE-3 Patroller is unplugged and powered off.
2. Always inspect the Charge Port before and after charging and prior to cleaning.
3. Gently clean the SE-3 Patroller with soap and water and a soft cloth.
Avoid Submerging the SE-3 Patroller
WARNING
Do not wash the SE-3 Patroller with a power washer or high pressure hose
(Figure 54). Avoid spraying water into the Charge Port and the neck cavity
below the User Interface. Avoid exposure to heavy downpours or extended
periods of heavy rain (including during riding, storage, or when transporting).
Make sure that the Charge Port is dry before you plug in the Power Cord.
Failure to follow these instructions could expose you to electric shock, injury,
burns, or cause a fire.
WARNING
Do not submerge the Battery Module or vehicle in water. If you suspect
the Battery Module or vehicle have been submerged or experienced water
intrusion: 1) call Segway Technical Support immediately at 1-866-473-4929;
2) store the SE-3 Patroller level, outdoors, and away from flammable objects;
3) do not attempt to remove the Battery Module; 4) do not plug the Power
Cord into the SE-3 Patroller. Failure to follow these instructions could expose
you to electric shock, injury, burns, or cause a fire.
