3.9 Computer Control Mode

The SARK-110-ULM can be operated from a computer using SARK Plots software for Windows

or Android and other software from third parties, further enhancing the capabilities of the

instrument.

The command interface specification is open for anyone wishing to develop a client software.

The command interface is compatible with the one for the SARK-110. Source code examples of

the communication interface are available for different operating systems. This information is

available at the following link: http://www.sark110.com/commands-interface

The analyzer must be set in Computer Control Mode to accept commands from the client

software.

The analyzer supports USB and short-range Bluetooth Low Energy interfaces for

communication. Press the Menu [ ] button to select the interface.

➢ Note: For the moment, SARK Plots for Windows supports USB interface only.

3.9.1 USB

There is no setup and driver installation needed for using SARK Plots via the USB interface.

Connect the analyzer to a Windows computer or to an Android tablet/smartphone using a USB

cable, select USB communication in SARK Plots and it will be ready to go.

3.9.2 Bluetooth Low Energy

For controlling the SARK-110-ULM with the SARK Plots software through the Bluetooth

interface, it is necessary first pairing the device using the operating system setup.
