NOTE: The chain between
the seed and fertilizer knife
Every new Seed Hawk that is manufactured
leaves with its shank pressure set at
approximately 1200 Psi.
Dial the shank pressure down. (NOTE: The
needle on the gauge will lower.)
NOTE: All of the fertilizer knives will
decrease in penetration pressure.
Step 7 – In order to get the proper packing
and penetrating forces per field, we
recommend that you lower your shank
pressure from the cab at the beginning of
each field.
Step 8 – You now know that you need to
increase your packing and penetration
pressures. Hold the shank pressure button
to change these pressures.
