7.3.4 GROUNDSPEEDCALIBRATION
Allnewsystemsrequireagroundspeedcalibrationtoensureaccurateareatotalsandaccurate
groundspeedreadings.

NOTE:Duringthecalibrationthemonitoriscounting
the number of pulses produced from the drill
mountedsensor.Themonitorwilldisplaythepulses
counted in 400 feet. Choosing this item will allow
youtocalibratethegroundspeedsensortoaknown
distance. The default distance is 400 feet (122
meters)butthiscanbesetbytheuser.Toperforma
groundspeedcalibration,determinethedistance to
beusedandmeasureoutacourse.

Procedure:

1. To complete the calibration, measure a course
400 feet (122 meters) long preferably on level
ground with a start and finish point.Line up
tractoratthe StartPoint.Thedrill mustbein the
downpositionthroughout theprocedure.

2. On the monitor, verify that the calibration
length is 400 feet (122 meters).If not, please
changesothatitreads400feet(122meters).

3.Once400feet(122meters)isselected,highlightandselectContinue.

4. The monitor now displays “Start Driving” and
shows a Wheel Pulses Received window.You
should see this number increase as
you drive the
400foot(122meter)course.

5. Once at the end of the 400 foot (122 meter)
course, stop the tractor, highlight the complete
buttonandpressEnter.

6.YourGroundSpeedisnowcalibrated.
