5.0  MAINTENANCE  &  SERVICE
5.1 SECURINGTHESE EDDRILLMACHINEFORSERVICE

1.Nevercrawlunderthemachine'schassisunlesstractorisshutoffandthepressurefromthe
hydraulicshasbeenbledoff.Makesurehosesaredisconnectedfromthetractor.

2.Make sure wing lock pinsare securely placed and locked if servicing is necessary with the
wingsectionsfoldedup.

3.Forallservicingandrepairworkonthehydraulicsystem,thewingsectionsmustbefolded
outandtheopenershanksunitintheloweredposition.

4.Disconnecttheseeddrill machine'spower cable fromthe tractorduringmaintenance and
servicing.

5.Unplugmoduleswheneverweldingisbeingdoneonthedrill.

5.2 GENERAL
1.Amachineisonlyasgoodastheserviceitreceives.

2.Greasetheimplementaccordingtothegreasetableintervals,andalwayspriortoandafter
winterstorageandafterhigh‐pressurewatercleaning.SEE“5.8MAINTENANCESCHEDULE”ON

3.Before driving off, make su re  that all screws and nuts are tight. During the season, check
periodicallythatthenutsandboltshavenotworkedlooseandinspectjointsandhydraulicram
mountingsforwear.

4.Checkdailythattheoilcoolerisnotblockedbydustanddirt,ifinstalled.

5.Regularlychecktheair
pressureinthetransportandseeddrillpackerwheeltires.

6.Following10‐15kmoftransportontheroad,re‐tightenthewheelnuts.Re‐tightenthenuts
similarlyafterchangingwheels.Wheelnutsmustbetightenedandcheckedfortightnessusing
