5.1 SECURINGTHESE EDDRILLMACHINEFORSERVICE
1.Nevercrawlunderthemachine'schassisunlesstractorisshutoffandthepressurefromthe
hydraulicshasbeenbledoff.Makesurehosesaredisconnectedfromthetractor.
2.Make sure wing lock pinsare securely placed and locked if servicing is necessary with the
wingsectionsfoldedup.
3.Forallservicingandrepairworkonthehydraulicsystem,thewingsectionsmustbefolded
outandtheopenershanksunitintheloweredposition.
4.Disconnecttheseeddrill machine'spower cable fromthe tractorduringmaintenance and
servicing.
5.Unplugmoduleswheneverweldingisbeingdoneonthedrill.
5.2 GENERAL
1.Amachineisonlyasgoodastheserviceitreceives.
2.Greasetheimplementaccordingtothegreasetableintervals,andalwayspriortoandafter

3.Before driving off, make su re that all screws and nuts are tight. During the season, check
periodicallythatthenutsandboltshavenotworkedlooseandinspectjointsandhydraulicram
mountingsforwear.
4.Checkdailythattheoilcoolerisnotblockedbydustanddirt,ifinstalled.
5.Regularlychecktheair
pressureinthetransportandseeddrillpackerwheeltires.
6.Following1015kmoftransportontheroad,retightenthewheelnuts.Retightenthenuts
similarlyafterchangingwheels.Wheelnutsmustbetightenedandcheckedfortightnessusing
