4.13 SEEDCONTORL
Seed control can be used in extreme conditions if certain seed types are pressing too hard
againsttherotor,causingunevenoperation.
NOTE: When sowing slow‐moving seeds such as grass seed or clover and grass mixes, seed
controlmustneverbeinstalled,astheseedcanotherwisebecomecomp actedagainsttheseed
controlplateand,intheworstcasescen ario,stoptheflow.
4.13.1 INSTALLATION/REMOVALOFTHESEEDCONTROLPLATE
1.Removetherotor,SEE“4.11ROTORREPLACEMENT”ONPAGE40.
2.Removethecover(A)byfirstundoingtheknob(B).
3.Removethespring(E)fromthelatchclamp(D).
4.Griptheseedcontrolplate(C).
5.Pulloutthelatchclamp(D)andinstallor
removetheseedcontrolplate(C).
NOTE:Wheninstalling,theseedcontrolplate(C)isinsertedwiththestraight,thinsideatthe
topandthelockinghookstowardsthebottom/rearasshowninFIGURE 4.22.Insertthe plate
upwards and towards the rear until it comes into contact with the edge and the mounting
holesareinthecorrectpositionforinstallingthelatchclamp(D).
