4.3 Pre-Operation Checklist
Inspect tires. Check tire ination pressure. Adjust if necessary.
Inspect wheel hub fasteners. Adjust torque to proper setting, if
necessary. Always check wheel hub fasteners before traveling on
public highways.
Check depth setting of packer wheel arms. Adjust if necessary.
Check depth setting of fertilizer knives. Adjust if necessary.
Check tractor hydraulic reservoir level. Add hydraulic uid if level is
low (Refer to tractor Operator’s Manual).
Inspect all hydraulic lines, hoses, ttings and couplers. Use a clean
cloth to wipe any accumulated dirt from the implement and
tractor couplers prior to connecting the hydraulic system.
Inspect seed and dry fertilizer distribution system.
Make sure manual wing locks are un-pinned and the pins
are placed in holder prior to winging down. Ensure that they are
locked again prior to transport on public roads
