Serial Port Setting
After the Protocol conguration is completed, advance to
the Serial Port Setting as illustrated below in gure 51. Se-
rial port setting is essentially a conguration to allow the
PTZ camera to communicate with the serial port.
To congure Serial Port Setting start by matching the
Port setting with the Serial Port under the Protocol Con-
guration, for example if Serial Port uses COM5, match
the Port by selecting COM5. Set the Baud Rate, Data
bits, Parity, and Stop bits by referencing the PTZ camera
user’s guide. Older PTZ cameras may use 9600 baud rate
or lower, 8 for data bits, none for parity and stop bits may
varies depending on makers and models.
