SAFETY INSRUCTIONS
• Before using the alarm lock, please carefully read the
complete instruction as it contains important information about
correct operation.
• Batteries and packaging materials are not to be disposed of along
with household waste.
The batteries have to be given to a collection point for used batteries.
Separate collection of packaging materials helps the environment.
• For reasons of security and certification (CE) the conversion and / or
modification of the unit is not allowed.
• Due to the loud alarm signal your hearing can be affected.
• The unit is water resistant and suitable for use outdoors.
However, it should by no means completely be put into the water.
NOTES FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
• At the end of its life this product is not to be disposed of along with
normal household waste, but should be given to a
Collection point for the recycling of electrical and
electronic devices. The symbol on the
Product, the owner's manual or the packaging
indicates this.
• The materials in this appliance
are recyclable. By recycling, the material
utilisation or other forms of recovery
are making an important contribution to protecting
our environment.
• Please ask the local administration for the collection points.
BATTERY DISPOSAL
• Keep batteries out of the trash. As a consumer you are
legally obliged to return used batteries. You can return
used batteries at the collection points in your community
or wherever batteries of this type are sold.
INSERTING THE BATTERIES
In the alarm lock (not included in delievery)
• Take the alarm lock out of the frame clamp.
• Turn the screw of the lock housing cover on the rearside of the lock
housing upwards with a screw driver .
• Slide the lid from the lock housing. You see the battery
compartment.
• Remove the four screws on the battery cover with as screw driver
and take out the cover.
• Replace the battery (9V block) according polarity.
• Install the battery cover and then the lockcover.
In the LED-key (included in delivery)
• Loosen the screw located on your key with a Phillips screwdriver
and lift on the lid.
• Replace discharged batteries with new lithium batteries
Type: CR 1220, 3 volts. Pay attention to the polarity.
• Close the lid and set the screw.
Safety
• Batteries should not be exposed to heat, moisture or thrown into fire.
• Do not short-circuit the batteries as it may cause an explosion.
USING THE FRAME BRACKET
• Mount the frame support (7) to an appropriate location on
bicycle, where it does not interfere with the driving.
• To fit the alarm lock, insert it with the
mounting bolts of the housing at a 90 degree angle in the
recesses of the frame clamp.
• Turn the alarm lock by 90 degrees counterclockwise.
It is now stable and secure in the frame bracket.
• To remove the alarm lock, turn it 90 degrees
clockwise and pull it off the frame clamp.
OPERATION OF THE ALARM LOCK
• The dust cover (4) should always be closed when the key is not
in the lock cylinder.
• Open the dust cover (4) and insert the key in the lock cylinder(5).
• Turn the key clockwise and pull the plug (2).
• Run the steel cable through the bike frame and around a fixed
object. Insert the lock pin (2) back into the lock housing.
ACTIVATE THE ALARM
• The alarm lock has two independent alarms:
Cable monitoring against cutting and a motion detector.
• The function of the cable monitoring is activated when the
alarm lock is locked and you hear a beep tone.
• To activate the motion detector, press the
the yellow knob until you hear the beep tone twice.
ALARM FUNCTIONS
• If you cut through the steel cable, the alarm siren will sound for 30
seconds. This occurs even if the motion detector is not activated.
• When the motion detector is activated and the alarm lock is moved the
alarm will sound three times.
If the movement isn’t stopped within the next 5 seconds the second
level of the alarm will be raised:siren will sound for 20 seconds and the
red LED lights start to flash. Then the siren is turned off. The siren will
sound again if a motion is detected within the next 5 seconds.
TURN OFF THE ALARM
• Open the dust cover (4) and insert the key
(6) in the lock . Turn the key clockwise and pull
the lock connector off the lock. The alarm lock is now
disabled.
• If too much time is needed for the above process,
the alarm may be activated.
