Defining a Status and an Analog Point
In PlantScape, any sensors connected to the PLC are mapped into points for
viewing and control.
We will now define:
1 A status point to control a pump
2 An analog point to monitor the level of a tank
Defining a Status Point to Control a Pump
To define a status point to control a pump:
1 From the Edit menu in Quick Builder, select Add Item(s).
2 Use the Add Item(s) dialog box as follows:
a) From the Add Items list, select Point.
b) In the list of point types, select Status Point.
c) In the Number of items to Add field, leave the default selection of 1.
d) In the Use Name field, type PUMPSTS.
3 Click OK.
