PC177IR-5 cameras. The
on-board photocell triggers the IR
illuminators, allowing you to see in
the dark up to 150'. System includes
our DMR40 series H.264 DVRs. The
H.264 compression allows recording
higher quality video using 75% less
hard drive space than MPEG-4 or JPEG
compressions. Off-load video via USB 2.0
or DVD. Pentaplex operation allows for
record, playback, remote view, live view
and off-load at the same time. Includes our
security grade LCD monitor, featuring digital

Optimizing your DVR security system
should not stop with the selection of your
recording device … Here are 10 tips to
ensure that you get the most out of the DVR
you purchase:
1. Choose the right recording
equipment. Select a DVR with the features
that your application requires, such as
number of cameras to be recorded, storage
capacity, Internet monitoring, USB export,
DVD Burning, motion detection, recording
speed, and resolution.
2. Set the right frame rate. This will
maximize your potential recording time.
3. Keep your DVR recording with the
overwrite feature. This will ensure that you
have continual archive of video footage.
4. Turn your Security DVR into a full
time security guard. Use alarm inputs,
trigger outputs, and motion detection to alert
you should something occur.
5. Don’t let conversations go unheard.
Most DVRs have audio recording capabilities,
allowing you to add a high quality mic or
leverage the microphones built into your
cameras to capture a second dimension of the
