1) General
Dear client, thank you very much for having bought this checkbox.
With this device you have purchased a product which has been
built according to state-of-the-art. This device fulfils the requirements
of the valid European and national regulations. The conformity
has been proved, the respective declarations and documents
are consigned at the manufacturer's. You as a user have to
pay attention to this instruction manual in order to maintain this
status and to ensure a safe operation!
2) Use according to regulation
Due to safety and admission reasons (CE) the improper
reconstruction and / or change of the checkbox is
prohibited! Please pay attention to a proper commissioning
of the checkbox.

This device is suited to determine faults at the cabling of the trailer
coupling on the vehicle. The power supply is done via the vehicle and
is synchronized to the electronics in the device. Any other use than
described causes the product to be damaged, furthermore this involves
dangers like for instance short circuit, fire, electric shock etc.
The whole product may not be changed resp. reconstructed and
the housing may not be opened! Please pay attention
to the security advices.
3) Security advices
In the case of damages resulting from the fact that this
instruction manual has not been paid attention to the warranty
claim expires! We do not assume liability for consequential dam
age! In the case of damages to property or damage to persons
caused due to improper operation or failure to comply
with the safety advices we do not assume liability. In such
cases the warranty claim expires.

6) Operation
1) Please place the plugs 7&1 3 pole of the checkbox
in the trailer socket at the vehicle.
2) Please check at first the socket configuration
with the plug 7&1 3 of the check box. The checkbox
realises automatically whether the vehicle has
a CAN bus system or not.
Both LEDs 9(-) and 10(-) have to flash (13 pole).
If this is not the case, the socket must have
been connected incorrectly to the
vehicle (minus / mass cables are missing).
3) Please enter the vehicle at the driver's side with
the checkbox and check the cable configuration of
the socket by calling the vehicle functions.
Please switch on the ignition of the vehicle for
this purpose.
4) Possible deficiencies are immediately indicated by
the checkbox by means of wrong or missing
flashing of the LEDs.
The test on the vehicle takes place via the lead cable / socket
of the checkbox.
