18.2 How to update Power transmitters or Multi sensors
If you want to determine which firmware version is currently installed on a device, you
can read the device's configuration (see page 111) using the Correlator. In the displayed
menu, look for the FW version line.
The following requirements must be met:
•
You need a computer with access to the Internet.
•
You need the supplied VK 77 connection cable.
•
The battery level of the devices involved must be OK.
(Power transmitter: at least 2 green lights in the LED bar
Multi sensor: LED shows green or yellow light)
First step, the relevant update-file has to be downloaded to the computer from the
SebaKMT web-site and, afterwards, transferred to the Correlator.
Second step, the update-file has to be transferred from the Correlator to the relevant
Power transmitter or Multi sensor, where it will be executed.
The following sections describe the steps in detail.
18.2.1 Work step 1: Download and store the update-file
Proceed as follows:

1 Visit the web-site www.sebakmt.com.
Access the Download area and look for the relevant update-file.
Download the file to your computer and unzip it.

Correlator:
In the main menu, tap the button .

Connect the Correlator to the computer. Use the supplied connection cable.
(Connect the round plug of the cable to the USB / GPS socket of the Correlator.
Observe the markings on the plug and socket. You must feel the plug engage.)
4 In the displayed menu, tap the Connect Correlator to PC button.
5 In the displayed menu, tap the Connect button.
Result: The connection is established. The message "Connected" appears on the
Correlator screen. The Correlator is automatically detected by the computer as a
mass storage device.

Computer:
Copy the firmware update-file (see step 1) to the root directory of the
Correlator. By that, the outdated firmware file must be overwritten there.
7 Correlator: Tap the Disconnect button.
Result: The connection to the computer is disconnected. The connection cable
can be removed.
