16.3 Pinpointing using Multi sensors
In the area of the pre-located leak position, up to 8 sensors are placed on the ground
along the pipe. The devices record ground noise and send data to the Correlator.
Multi sensors as well as Power transmitters can be used.
The following requirements must be met:
• All sensors to be used must be registered in the Correlator's Multi sensor pool (also
called "Offline pool" (see page 55)). This applies to both Multi sensors and
Power transmitters.
• All measuring points must be within the Correlator's radio range.
Attach the supplied Trivet adaptors to the sensors in order to ensure safe standing and
best possible contact to the ground. Thanks to their magnetic foot, the sensors simply
have to be put on the trivets.
Switch the sensors on and put them on the ground, evenly spaced, along the pipe.
