Description
Use with widescreen DVD videos with movie ratios of
2.2-2.40.
The 7% magnification reduces the black matte at the top
and bottom, but also crops about 7% of the available
video on the sides.
Use with letterbox DVD or VHS videos with a movie
aspect ratio of 1.66.
The 25% magnification is approximately the height of the
screen.
Black mattes on each side are normal.
Use with letterbox DVD or VHS videos with movie
aspect ratios of 1.78-2.39.
The 33% magnification displays the entire available
video width.
Black mattes at the top and bottom increase for movies
of aspect ratios greater than 1.78 (16:9).
Use with letterbox DVD or VHS videos with a movie
aspect ratio of 1.66.
An alternate to the Letterbox setting, this expands the
vertical direction by 25%, and nonuniformly extends the
horizontal direction 33%. This slightly distorts the picture
to eliminate the black mattes found on each side in the
Letterbox setting.
