On-Screen Menu 6501MA HDTV Monitor Owner's Manual
The on-screen menu will automatically disappear when changes are not made. It is
programmable for 5 seconds, 15 seconds, or 60 seconds. See "Options" on page 41.
LAYOUT
Layouts are window arrangements for one or more pictures on the screen. Layouts
that have more than two windows use snapshot scans for some of the widows. Snap-
shots freeze and hold the picture while the input or tuner acquires the next input or
channel.
Selecting Windows
For layouts with two or more windows, to change the channel, video input, aspect
ratio, select the audio, and more, for an individual window, you must select the desired
window:
• Press the PAGE /_ or PAGE V keys on the remote control to select a window. See
"Page" on page 32.
Full Screen
• Select for a single, screen-size, full-motion picture.
PIP (Picture in Picture)
• Select for a screen-size full-motion picture, plus an inset full-motion, resizable, mov-
able picture. One picture, but not both, may be from an HD-component input
(VIDEO 4 or 5).
• To adjust the PIP size when a PIP window is displayed, press the MENU key and
navigate to Window, then PIP Size. Use • or • to change the size of the window.
• To adjust the PIP position when a PIP window is displayed, press the MENU key and
navigate to "Window", then "PIP Position." Select the desired position.
The location of the PIP window can also be changed pressing the MOVE key on the
remote control. See "Move" on page 34.
To choose the window to provide audio, use the PAGE /_ or PAGE V keys on the
remote control to select the desired window and press SELECT.
Split Screen
• Select for two reduced-size full-motion pictures. One picture, but not both, may be
from a HD-component input (VIDEO 4 or 5).

remote control to select the desired window and press SELECT.
POP 3
• Select for 1 reduced-size, full-motion picture with audio, plus 3 snapshot scans.
POP 12
• Select for 1 reduced-size, full-motion picture with audio, plus 12 snapshot scans.
Grid
• Select for 9 snapshot scans without audio.
