REMOTE CONTROL KEYS
Vel
Keys are described below in approximately top-to-bottom layout order.
Pwr (Power)
• Press once to turn the HDTV monitor on or off. The picture appears in about 15 sec-
onds. See "Power and Lamp Indicators" on page 30 for turn-on and turnoff behavior.
Mute
• Press once to silence or restore audio. The mute symbol appears for a few seconds
in the upper-left of the screen after pressing the key. Also see "Mute" on page 47.
Mute on (silenced) Mute off (normal)
Sleep
• Press one or more times to set the HDTV monitor's turnoff timer for 30, 60, 90, or
120 minutes or off. Also see "Sleep Timer" on page 38.
When the sleep timer is activated, the green power indicator will be on. See "Power
and Lamp indicators" on page 30.
Volume +/-
• Press once or press and hold to increase or decrease the audio volume.
Page
Volume is also available through the on-screen menu. See "Volume" on page 47.
Page
• When displaying PIP or POP windows, press the PAGE /_ or PAGE V keys to select
the individual windows. You must select the individual window to change inputs or
perform other actions on that widow. A border appears to indicate the selected win-
dow.

• When editing labels, press the PAGE /_ or PAGE V keys to change channels. See
"Edit Labels" on page 51.
Picture Mode
• Press one or more times to select one of the room lighting conditions:
• Standard for normal room lighting conditions
• Cinema for dark room lighting conditions
• Vivid for bright room lighting conditions
These are preset behaviors affecting the low-, midrange-, and high-brightness areas of
the picture. Technically related to gamma settings, they accommodate the human eye
in different surroundings with different video inputs. The best way to use these settings
