PRECAUTION
Turn off the HDTV monitor and any external audio-video components before connect-
ing or disconnecting audio-video cables. Avoid these risks:
• There is some risk of damage to the HDTV monitor or component by misalignment
of connectors if either are operating.
• Separate audio systems may have capabilities beyond the ratings of their loud-
speakers. Connecting or disconnecting the audio cables may result in abnormally
large signal changes which could damage speakers and amplifiers or receivers.
CHOOSING AV COMPONENT CONNECTIONS
• For best performance, choose the highest quality connections that are available on
both the television and video component.
