7.3 Recommended spare parts
When operating boat or other vehicle in remote areas, keep the following spare parts on hand to
assure continuous toilet system operation.

7.4 During extended periods of non-use
Sanitation hoses should be cleared if toilet will not be needed for an extended period of time (more
than two weeks).
1. Filltoiletbowlwithwaterandadd4oz.(120ml)ofliquidbiodegradablelaundrydetergent
(should NOT contain bleach).
2. Flushtoilet,holdingpedaldownforabouttwominutes.Closeushball.
3. Turn off water supply to toilet.
4. Flushthetoiletwithoutwater,allowingthevacuumpumptoshutoffaftertheush.Repeatthree
times. (This procedure will minimize any remaining water in the sanitation hoses.)
5. Turn off power to the vacuum pump.
6. Completely pump out holding tank.
Ifsystemwillbesubjectedtofreezingtemperatures,pleasefollowaboveprocedure,thenwinterize
system as described in this manual.
TURN OFF ELECTRICITY AND WATER TO TOILET SYSTEM IF IDLE FOR LONG TIME
If people will not be using the boat for a long time (vacation, maintenance, off-season, etc.), or in the
event of a long electrical power interruption, electrical power and water supply to the toilet system
should be shut off.
