• Clean the tape mechanism, as described on
page 20.
• Check to make sure all cables are securely
connected and all jumpers are set appropri-
ately.
• Turn off the computer. Wait for the computer
to power down. Then restart the system.
Restart the backup software, making sure that
no other programs (such as virus scanners)
are running.
• Run the diagnostic software provided on the
Tape Resource CD.
