• Keep cartridges away from direct sunlight and
heat sources, such as radiators or warm air
ducts.
• Do not expose cartridges to temperature
extremes or rapid changes in temperature.
• Keep cartridges away from sources of strong
electromagnetic fields, such as telephones,
computer monitors, printers, dictation equip-
ment, mechanical or printing calculators,
motors or bulk tape erasers.
• Do not open the tape access door of a car-
tridge or touch the tape itself. One fingerprint
can prevent the drive from reading information
on the tape.
