About this manual

This manual provides instructions on installing your

new Seagate 8GB or 20GB Travan tape drive, along

with Backup Exec software. Two sets of drive installa-

tion instructions are provided: one for ATAPI drives and

another for SCSI drives (including the Travan NS drive).

This manual also describes how to operate your tape

drive and how to care for the tape drive and cartridges.
