Opening/closing the quarter-inch MTC drive

Ê Press the release button in the top right corner of the drive flap of the

quarter-inch MTC drive.

The access indicator always lights up when the MTC drive is active (e.g. when

the system checks whether a cartridge has been inserted, when a tape is being

rewound or wound forward, when data is being read from the tape or when data

is being written to tape).

V The drive flap must not be unlocked while the access indicator is illumi-

nated.

The drive slot is located behind

the drive flap. Insert the 1/4 inch

magnetic tape cartridge into this

slot.
