• Factory Defaults button: Press and release this button, located on the bottom of the
device, to reset GoFlex Satellite to its original factory settings (normally not necessary—
see “Restoring GoFlex Satellite™ to its Original Settings” on page 31 for more
information). No data is lost during this process.
The USB 3.0 adapter activity lights illuminate when the GoFlex Satellite device is connected
to your computer along with the detachable USB 3.0 cable. The GoFlex Satellite
• Adapter cable activity lights:
• White steady: GoFlex drive is connected to your computer and ready for use.
• White blink: Activity.
• Off: GoFlex drive is safe to remove from your computer, is not connected or light has
been disabled using software.
