2.6 Package

Open the package of ARS-2017E, and check its contents. If there is anything missing,

contact your distributor.

2.7 Quick Start

Step 1: Prepare 2 hard drives of the same model, and set the jumper as

Cable Select or Single/Master mode.

Step 2: Take the 2 trays out of ARS-2017E.

Step 3: Put a hard drive into each tray, and connect it with the internal IDE cable

and power cord. Fasten the hard drive with screws.

Step 4: Put the 2 trays back to ARS-2017E.

Step 5: Make sure that the auto-eject handles on the trays are closed.

Step 6: Set a proper and unique SCSI ID for ARS-2017E (on page 27).

Step 7: Connect ARS-2017E to the SCSI card with a SCSI cable. And be sure to

add a terminator to the end. See Chapter 4 for the connection.

Step 8: Connect ARS-2017E with a power cord.
