Installation

De-activation is the reverse of this procedure, that is:

• Rotate the key through 90 degrees in a clockwise direction until the indicator visible in the centre aperture of

the handle shows black.

Note A drive carrier cannot be installed if its anti-tamper lock is activated outside the Enclosure.

1.5 Organizing Backups

You should still make backups. The SS-1200-FCAL subsystem is a safe medium for your data, but no system is

completely foolproof.

Continue your existing backup schedule. It is advisable to store your backup media in fireproof containers.

How often should I backup?

If you do not have a backup schedule yet, some typical minimum requirements for consideration are as follows:

• Initial/monthly: back up all applications and data as soon as you start using the SS-1200-FCAL subsystem,

and at monthly intervals afterwards.

• Daily: back up new and changed data at least once a day. Keep each day’s data for a week.

• Weekly: back up all data at least once a week and start the daily cycle again.
