1.3 Preparation
1 Check the shipping container for damage. If the container is damaged, look for damage to the module.
2 Unpack the module
3 Check for obvious damage.
Warning In the unlikely event of your plug-in module being damaged, contact your supplier. Do not
continue.
1.4 Planning Your Installation
Before you begin installation you should become familiar with the configuration requirements of your SS-1200-
FCAL system. The correct positions of the various plug-in modules are detailed in the SS-1200-FCAL Installation/
User Guide.
1.5 FC-AL Configurations

configurations.
1.5.1 FC-AL Internal Loop Structures
The SS-1200 4 x 3 FC-AL enclosure has an internal connection structure as shown in Figure 1–3. Connection to the
2 internal loops is achieved via two rear mounted plug-in, Loop Resiliency Circuit (LRC) I/O modules in Bays 3/2
