6.3 Power dissipation

To obtain typical operating random read (8 blocks) power dissipation at nominal voltages, refer to Figure 5. The
drive user must decide what number of I/O operations constitutes a typical number of I/O operations for their
installation. To calculate BTUs per hour, multiply watts by 3.4123. Typical power dissipation under idle condi-
tions is 11.3 Watts (38.5 BTUs per hour).

6.4 Environmental limits
Temperature and humidity values experienced by the drive must be such that condensation does not occur on
any drive part. Altitude and atmospheric pressure specifications are referenced to a standard day at 58.7°F
(14.8°C). Maximum wet bulb temperature is 82°F (28°C).
