Subsection 01 (CARBURETION)

Disconnect the wiring harness of the solenoid.

Using a voltmeter, connect the positive probe to

the PURPLE/BLUE wire and the negative probe to

the BLACK/BLUE wire.

With the safety lanyard removed, depress

start/stop button to activate the MPEM timer.

The voltmeter should indicate 0 Volt.

Depress the throttle lever progressively. At 80%

to full throttle opening, the voltmeter should indi-

cate the battery voltage. If not, replace the ampli-

fier.

Solenoid

Disconnect the wiring harness of the solenoid.

Apply pressure to the inlet nipple. Air should be

released to the outlet nipple for the atmosphere.

SOLENOID NOT ACTIVATED

1. Apply pressure to inlet nipple

2. Air should be released here

Connect a 12 V battery to solenoid terminals.

Apply pressure to the inlet nipple. Air should be

released to the outlet nipple leading to the air in-

take silencer.

SOLENOID ACTIVATED

1. Apply pressure to inlet nipple

2. Air should be released here
