Engine Oil
This watercraft features a 4-stroke en-
gine that requires 4-stroke motor oil
for internal engine lubrication. Ensure
to respect the following requirements.
CAUTION: Never use any 2-stroke
engine oil.
Recommended Oil
Naturally-Aspirated Engines
Use a 4-stroke, 10W40 grade motor
oil meeting the requirements for API
service classification SM, SL or SJ. Al-
ways check the API service label on
the oil container to be sure it includes
those letters.
NOTE: A synthetic oil meeting the
same requirements may be used.

The same oil lubricates both the en-
gine and the supercharger clutch. The
XP-S 10W40 oil has been thoroughly
tested to be free of any additives that
could impair the functionality of the su-
percharger clutch.
NOTE: Use of any oil that is not recom-
mended may void BRP’s limited war-
ranty.
CAUTION:
(1)
NEVER use synthetic
oil in a supercharged intercooled
engine. This would impair the
proper operation of the super-
charger clutch. Do not add any
additives to the recommended oil.
Beware that oils not recommend-
ed by BRP may contain additives
(friction modifiers) that may cause
inappropriate slippage of the su-
percharger and eventually lead to
premature wear. For this reason,
XP-S 10W40 4-stroke oil (P/N 219
700 346) or a BRP approved equiv-
alent are the only recommended
oils.
Oil Level
CAUTION: Check level frequently
and refill if necessary. Do not over-
fill it would make the engine smoke
and reduce its power. Operating
the engine with an improper lev-
el may severely damage engine.
Wipe off any spillage.
