PNEUMATIC SCREEN STRETCHERS
The Sefar SST pneumatic screen stretching clamp sys-
tem is constructed for heavy duty operation with few
moveable parts which make it virtually maintenance
free. They are available with clamp jaws in sizes of
9.84 in. (250mm) and 5.9 in. (150mm) length. Both
types can be used simultaneously since the pulling
force of both clamps is proportionately the same.
Therefore, the clamps can be arranged to suit any
frame size.
The SST clamps apply a force against the screen
frames to pretension them during stretching. After the
fabric is glued in place, the release of pressure will
allow the frames to put an additional tension force on
the fabric for zero-tension cut-away loss. The jaws
incorporate a double round, urethane dowel which locks
down the fabric and eliminates slippage. This allows for
higher tensions on fine meshes without breaking.
The piston and rod are designed in such a manner that
they cannot jam. After pressure is released, a release
spring automatically pushes the clamps back to their
original forward position. The stroke of the piston of the
SST stretching clamp is 3.5 in. which is sufficient for the
stretching of large frames.
Compressed air is supplied through a control unit to air
distributors. Every clamp is equipped with an air hose
and quick connect fittings. This facilitates a simple
interconnection of clamps and air distributor. The con-
trol unit consists of a regulator with a pressure gauge,
and an “on” and “off” lever. The regulator can be
adjusted to a specified pressure. A needle valve placed
after the regulator controls the amount of air applied to
the clamps to prevent shocking the fabric during ten-
sioning procedure.

GRUNIG G-210 PREMIUM
MECHANICAL SCREEN STRETCHER
The Grunig mechanical scree printing mesh stretching
machine is equipped with the latest, redesigned, easy
gliding duplex clamps. Duplex clamps are available in
two sizes, 250mm (9.84”) and 150mm (5.9”), both of
which ensure ease of use. The duplex clamps effec-
tively eliminate fabric slippage even at the highest ten-
sion levels. The G-210 is the first mechanical stretch-
ing system to incorporate its own automatic screen
frame pre-bowing mechanism. And the first mechanical
stretching device to place the screen frame in contact
with the mesh, after stretching, by controlled pneumatic
pressure. In the event that compressed air is not avail-
able, a mechanical frame pressure system is also avail-
able.
Benefits:
• Pre-Stressing of Frame
• Capable of Angling Frame
• Stretch Single or Multiple Frames
• Easily Adjusted for Various Sizes
