TRIMMING INSTRUCTIONS 1. WORKING POSITION– Maintain proper footing and balance and do not overreach. Wear safety goggles, non--skid footwear and rubber gloves when trimming. Hold the tool firmly in both hands and turn the tool ON. Always hold the trimmer, as shown, with right hand on the switch handle and left hand on the front. Never hold the tool by the safety guard. Keep unit below waist level. 3. TRIMMING NEW GROWTH—A wide, sweeping motion, feeding the blade teeth through the twigs is most effective.
CHARGING THE BATTERY PACK Charge the battery pack only with the charger provided. Allow at least 90 minutes of charge time for 2.5Ah battery or 140 minutes of charge time for 4Ah battery or 180 minutes of charge time for 5Ah battery before initial use of the hedge trimmer. Make sure the power supply is normal household voltage, 120 volts, 60Hz, AC only. The battery charger should be operated in temperatures between 39 and 104 degrees F.
MAINTENANCE If you drop the trimmer, carefully inspect it for damage. If the blade is bent or cracked, handles broken or if you see any other condition that may affect the trimmer’s operation, it must be repaired before putting it back into use.
