ON/ Standby mode
PresstheON/STANDBYbuttontoturnontheunitandpressitagaintogotostandbymode.
Clock time setting
1. In standby mode, press the CLOCK/ADJbuttonandthe"24H"digitswillash.
2. Press the / buttons to select 24 hour or 12 hour display mode and then press the CLOCK/ADJ
buttontoconrm.Thehourdigitswillash.
3. Press the / buttons to set the hour.
4. Press the CLOCK/ADJbuttontoconrmandtheminutedigitswillash.
5. Press the / buttons to set the minutes.
6. Press the CLOCK/ADJbuttonagaintoconrmthetimesetting.
Selecting the source
When the unit is switched on, press the FUNCTIONbuttonrepeatedlytoselectoneofthefollowingsources:
CD, USB, TUNER, AUX or TAPE.
VOLUME control
Turn the -VOLUME+ dial to adjust the volume level.
Connecting headphones
Pluginheadphones(notsupplied)totheheadphonesjackatthe backoftheunitforprivatelistening.The
speaker output will be shut off automatically.

Using the AC power supply
Insert the AC power cord into an AC mains outlet with a 230V AC ~ 50Hz power source and insert the other
end into the AC ~ socket at the back of the unit.
Using batteries
1. Open the battery compartment.
2.Insert6UM2/“C”sizebatteries(notsupplied)withthepolarities(+/-)matchingthemarkingsinthe
batterycompartment.Reversedbatteriesmaydamagetheunit.
3. Close the battery compartment.
Note: When AC power is supplied, the battery power is cut off automatically.
Precautions when using batteries
1.Useonlythesizeandtypeofbatteriesspecied.
2.Donotmixdifferenttypesofbatteriestogether(e.g.alkaline,rechargeableandstandard(carbonzinc))or
old batteries with fresh ones.
3.Exhaustedbatteriesmustberemovedtopreventanybatteryleakage.
4.Disposeofbatteriesproperlyaccordingtoenvironmentalregulations.
