REMOVAL
1996-UP
FLTR ROAD GLIDE
0 Drape a protective cloth over
the
front fender.

DO
NOT remove the windshield on Road Glide models
Extract
(2)
T-25
Torx bolts from
bottom left and
right sides
of
the
fairing.
0
Use a
7/16"
socket
or
box
wrench
to
remove
(2)
nuts that
hold the each turn
signal at the lower
fairing.
0
Remove the metal
strap under
the
nuts, and push
the
studs
out
to
remove
the
signals.
CAUTION: Do
not
let turn signals
drop
or
dangle.
0
Have a helper hold on the outer fairing and
extract the last
(2)
T-25 Torx bolts from
the
upper fairing near
the
speaker grilles.
Carefully lift fairing at headlights
to
release
support hooks, unplug headlights and
remove. Store fairing in a safe place until
reassembly.
NOTE!:
Be sure
to
reattach
support hooks during reinstallation.
Extract Torx screws holding speaker in place, unplug wire leads
and carefully remove speaker (photo
not
available at this time).
