EQUALIZER INSTALLATION The mounting panel precept opening is 172mm wide x 25mm high. The opening can be modified for larger equipment by filing or cutting. Additional cut lines are provided for dual equalizer, pocket and equalizer or double DIN chassis installations. NOTE: When installing a larger equalizer, an additional equalizer or double DIN chassis. use an X-act knife, modelers saw, or hacksaw bide to trim out the opening along the indicated outlines.
TRIM CAP INSTALLATION EQUALIZER TRIM CAP If an equalizer is not being installed, simply place the enclosed trim cap over the equalizer opening in the kit. Once the studs are pushed through the opening in the kit, press the four | retaining clips (enclosed) onto the trim cap studs. The trim cap has four studs. Be sure to secure the two center studs, this will prevent any possibility of the cap rattling.
