3.3.1. Receiver Module Configuration Menu
The IRD-2900 series is provided with a wide range of TS interface options. The
Receiver Configuration Menu provides access to the relevant receiver
module. The following input interface options are supported by the IRD-2900:
1. QPSK RECEIVER CONFIGURATION MENU
The QPSK Receiver Configuration menu is used in setting the QPSK
receiver parameters for tuning the IRD to the required TS.
This menu provides configuration options for the QPSK modulated input
signal. It is available only in an IRD-2900 equipped with a Satellite QPSK
Receiver Front-End Module. For details, see Paragraph 3.3.1.1
2. IP RECEIVER CONFIGURATION MENU:
The IP Receiver Configuration menu is used in setting the MPEG-over-IP
interface for defining IP connectivity and a source TS.
This menu provides configuration options for parameters used for defining
IP-network connectivity parameters for the IRD device and the source
transport stream. It is available only in an IRD-2900 equipped with an IP
front-end module. For details, see Paragraph 3.3.1.2.
3.3.1.1. QPSK Receiver Configuration Menu
NOTE
The Configuration Menu for the QPSK Front-End Receiver option is available only when the QPSK Front-End is
installed.
The LNB local oscillator (L.O.) Frequency parameter is activated when the Ku/C-Band is selected.
The QPSK Receiver Configuration Menu contains the following parameters,
used to tune the receiver to the input signal:
Frequency – Satellite transponder frequency. Can be acquired from satellite
transponder information.
Symbol Rate – Can be acquired from satellite transponder information.
Viterbi Rate – Can be detected automatically or acquired from satellite
transponder information.
Spectral Inversion – Can be detected automatically or acquired from
satellite transponder information.
Horizontal and Vertical Polarization – Can be acquired from satellite
transponder information.
LNB L.O. type – Can be acquired in accordance to the frequency range and
antenna installation.
