ABSORPTION OF HD ABSORBING MATERIAL: Warning: You must exercise caution when using HD detectors. They exhibit spectral reflection of between 7% and 18%, of the input power, back out of the aperture. Please refer to Figure 1 to determine the reflectance for the wavelength you are measuring. These detectors should be treated as a partial mirror or any other type of reflective optic and the appropriate caution level observed, especially at the CO2 wavelength.
