IMPORTANT: READ AND SAVE THIS SAFETY AND INSTRUCTION MANUAL. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS – Charge the Instant Power™ internal battery immediately after purchase, after every use and every 30 days. This manual will show you how to use your Instant Power™ safely and effectively. Please read, understand and follow these instructions and precautions carefully, as this manual contains important safety and operating instructions.
1.8 When charging the internal battery, work in a well ventilated area and do not restrict the ventilation in any way. 1.9 Do not operate the Instant Power™ with damaged cables or clips; have the cable or clip replaced immediately a qualified service person. (Call customer service at: 1-800-6215485.) 1.10 Do not operate the Instant Power™ if it has received a sharp blow, been dropped or otherwise damaged in any way; take it to a qualified service person. (Call customer service at: 1-800-621-5485.) 1.
2.10 If battery acid contacts your skin or clothing, immediately wash the area with soap and water. If acid enters your eye, immediately flood the eye with cold running water for at least 10 minutes and get medical attention right away. 2.11 If battery acid is accidentally swallowed, drink milk, the whites of eggs or water. DO NOT induce vomiting. Seek medical attention immediately. 3. Preparing to use the Instant Power™ RISK OF CONTACT WITH BATTERY ACID.
6. FOLLOW THESE STEPS WHEN connecting to a BATTERY A SPARK NEAR THE BATTERY MAY CAUSE A BATTERY EXPLOSION. TO REDUCE THE RISK OF A SPARK NEAR THE BATTERY: 6.1 Attach the output cables to the battery and chassis as indicated below. Never allow the output clips to touch each other. 6.2 Position the DC cables to reduce the risk of damage by the hood, door and moving or hot engine parts.

You may also charge the internal battery while driving, using the male-to-male charger cable (p/n 94500109 – not included). Insert one end of the accessory cable into the 12V DC power outlet and the other end into the vehicle’s accessory outlet (lighter socket). Completely disconnect the charger cable when the engine is not running. The CHARGING (red) LED and the CHARGED (green) LED do not operate during this method of charging.

11. MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS 11.1 After use and before performing maintenance, unplug and disconnect the Instant Power™ (see sections 3 and 4). 11.2 Use a dry cloth to wipe all battery corrosion and other dirt or oil from the battery clips, cords, and the Instant Power™ case. 11.3 Ensure that all of the Instant Power™ components are in place and in good working condition, for example, the plastic boots on the battery clips. 11.
PROBLEM The Instant Power™ won’t power my 12V device. The battery in the Instant Power™ won’t hold a charge. 14. POSSIBLE CAUSE REASON/SOLUTION The 12V device is not turned on. Turn on the 12V device. The Instant Power™ battery is not charged. Check the battery charge status by pressing the button on the front of the Instant Power™. See LED Indicators section of this manual.

Schumacher Electric Corporation (the “Manufacturer”) warrants this Instant Power™ for one year and the internal battery for ninety days from the date of purchase at retail against defective material or workmanship that may occur under normal use and care.

4. La luz LED (verde) CARGADA se encenderá cuando la batería haya alcanzado su carga total. Esto puede llegar a tomar hasta 72 horas dependiendo de los años de uso edad y condición de la batería. El cargador cambiará automáticamente a la función de modo de mantenimiento y mantendrá la batería cargada totalmente sin dañarla. 5. La batería de La Fuente de poder no retiene la carga. 14. PRÉCAUTIONS SUR LA CONNEXION C.C. 5.1 Connectez et déconnectez les pinces CC seulement après avoir réglé les sélecteurs du Instant Power™ sur la position « off » (si valable) et avoir débranché le cordon CA de la prise murale. Ne pas utiliser le Instant Power quand en chargeant la batterie Vous pouvez aussi recharger la batterie interne tout en roulant, en utilisant le câble du chargeur mâle/mâle (p/n 94500109 – non compris). Insérez un des bouts du câble auxiliaire dans la prise de 12V CC et l’autre bout dans la prise d’accessoires du véhicule (prise allume-cigare). Déconnectez entièrement le câble du chargeur quand le moteur du véhicule n’est pas en marche.
4. Si l’appareil 12 V CC consomme plus de 15A ou est en court-circuit, le disjoncteur interne de l’Instant Power™ se déclenchera et déconnectera l’alimentation de l’appareil. Dans ce cas, débrancher l’appareil 12 V CC en question et appuyer sur le bouton Reset se trouvant à l’arrière de l’Instant Power™ pour réinitialiser le disjoncteur. La prise d’alimentation CC est reliée directement à la batterie interne. Si l’on se sert longuement de l’appareil en 12 V CC, trop d’énergie peut être tirée de la batterie.
NOTE: Pour éviter toute surchauffe, le compresseur possède une protection thermique intégrée qui éteindra le compresseur avant qu’il ne surchauffe. Si le compresseur s’éteint, patienter quelques minutes et il redémarrarea aussitôt une fois que le compresseur a refroidi. NOTE: Le compresseur accepte 150 PSI.
