Consider having someone close enough by to come to your aid when you work near a lead-acid battery. Have plenty of fresh water and soap nearby in case battery acid contacts your skin, clothing or eyes. Wear complete eye and body protection, including safety goggles and protective clothing.
6.3 6.4 6.5 6.6 6.7 6.8 Stay clear of fan blades, belts, pulleys and other parts that can cause injury. Check the polarity of the battery posts. The POSITIVE (POS, P, +) battery post usually has a larger diameter then the NEGATIVE (NEG, N, -) post. Determine which post of the battery is grounded (connected) to the chassis. If the negative post is grounded to the chassis (as in most vehicles), see step 6.5. If the positive post is grounded to the chassis, see step 6.6.
• A yellow LED indicates a 50 to 75% charge. The Instant Power™ may be used but should be recharged as soon as possible. • A green LED indicates the internal battery is fully charged. • The CHARGING (red) LED indicates the Instant Power™ is charging (connected to an AC power source.) At full charge, the CHARGED (green) LED will light. 9.2 Charging the Internal Battery using the Built-In Charger: 1.
1. Ensure the battery clips are securely clipped on the storage holders. 2. Open the protective cover of the DC power outlet on the front of the Instant Power™. 3. Plug the 12V DC device into the DC power outlet, and turn the 12V DC device on (if required) NOTE: the flex light ON/OFF control is on the back of the light. 4. If the 12V DC device draws more than 15A or has a short circuit, the internal circuit breaker of the Instant Power™ will trip and disconnect the power to the device.
12.3 12.4 12.5 Do not store the clips on the handle, clipped together, on or around metal, or clipped to cables. The clips on the Instant Power™ are live and will produce arcing or sparking if they come in contact with each other. To prevent accidental arcing, always keep the clips on the storage holders when not using it to jump start a vehicle. If the Instant Power™ is moved around the shop or transported to another location, take care to avoid/prevent damage to the cords, clips and Instant Power™.
14. 14.1 14.2 BEFORE RETURNING FOR REPAIRS When a starting problem arises, make certain that the battery is capable of accepting a normal charge. Double check all connections, the Instant Power™ battery charge level, the battery clips for correct polarity and the quality of the connections from the cables to the clips and from the clips to the battery system. The clips must be clean.

Conecte el gancho NEGATIVO (NEGRO) al chasis del vehículo o al bloque motor alejado de la batería. No conecte el gancho al carburador, líneas de combustible o cuerpos metálicos. Conecte a una pieza metálica de calibre grueso del marco o del bloque motor.

PROBLÈME La Fuente de poder no pone a funcionar mi aparato de 12V. La batería de La Fuente de poder no retiene la carga. 14. 14.1 14.2 CAUSE POSSIBLE RAISON/SOLUTION El aparato de 12V no enciende. Allumez le 12V la machine. Encienda el aparato de 12V. La batería de La Fuente de poder no está cargada Verifique la condición de carga de la batería girando el interruptor situado enfrente de la fuente de poder.

L’ACIDE DE BATTERIE EST UN ACIDE SULFURIQUE EXTRÊMEMENT CORROSIF. 3.1 Lorsque vous rechargez la batterie interne, travailler dans un endroit bien aéré et ne restreignent pas la ventilation en aucune manière. Nettoyer les bornes de la batterie avant d’utilisée l’unité.

Si la borne positive est connectée au chassis, voir l’étape 6.6. Pour les véhicules mis à la masse négative, connectez la pince POSITIVE (ROUGE) du Instant Power™ de batterie à la borne de la batterie POSITIVE (POS, P, +), non mise à la masse.
9.2 • Le voyant jaune indique que la charge de la batterie interne se situe entre 50 et 75 %. On peut utiliser l’appareil modèle Instant Power™, mais il faudra le recharger dès que possible. • Le voyant vert indique que la batterie interne est entièrement chargée. • Le voyant EN COURS DE CHARGE (rouge) indique que l’Instant Power™ charge (raccordé à une source CA de courant alternatif). Quand la charge complète, le voyant CHARGÉE (vert) s’allume.
