Introduction

This chapter describes how the Advantys I/O platform is configured using the

Advantys configuration software. Proceed as follows:

1. Make the hardware settings, in particular the Profibus address

2. Create a new project (workspace)

3. Configure the hardware (network interface, power supply and I/O modules)

4. Configure CANopen extension communication (baud rate)

5. If necessary, adjust device parameters (reset inputs, settings, etc.)

6. Download configuration to island.

Specifying the

Profibus

address

The Profibus address is set via

the two rotary switches on the

STB NDP2212; addresses

between 1 and 125 can be set.

Although addresses 0 and 126

to 129 can be set, they are not

permitted.

Creating a

new project

After starting the Advantys

software, you must create a

new workspace.

To do this, you must specify

the path, the workspace name

and the name of the first

island.
