Why Extend the

Island Bus?

primary segment:

Mechatronic design considerations requiring more distance to keep the I/O

modules closer to the sensor and actuator devices

System requirements for >1.2 Amps worth of Advantys STB I/O modules on the

island bus

The need for one or more preferred module(s) on the island bus

The need for standard CANopen devices
