Configuring Master Controller Settings
Configure the master controller settings with the Advantys Configuration Software:
Step Action
1 Double-click on the NIM in the island editor to open the module editor.
2 Select the Ethernet Parameters page, then click the Master IP tab to open the
Master IP page.
3 In the Master IP page, enter values for these parameters:
Master 1 IP address of the first master controller
Master 2 IP address of the second master controller
Master 3 IP address of the third master controller
NOTE: At least one master controller is required. The IP address of each master
controller must reside on the same network as the STB NIP 2311 module.
Reservation
Time
Use the spin control to input a value: 0 to 120000 ms (in increments
of 10 ms). (Default = 60000 ms.)
This value represents the time allowed for a connected controller to
execute a write command to the STB NIP 2311 module. Write
access expires if no write command is received during this period.
The reservation time is renewed each time that a write command is
received prior to expiration.
Holdup Time Use the spin control to input a value of either 0 or 300...120000 ms
(in 10-ms increments). (Default = 1000 ms.)
The holdup time represents the period of time that outputs hold
their current state without receiving a write command from a master
controller. When this period expires, outputs are set to their fallback
state.
4 Click either:
z Apply: Save your edits and keep the module editor open.
z OK Save your edits and close the module editor.
