Configuring the I/O Scanner to Read and Write New Parameters
To configure the I/O Scanner to read and write the newly configured parameters:
Step Action Comment
1 On the IO Scanning tab in Unity Pro, start two new
scanner lines, each with the IP address
192.168.1.16.
z The first new scanner line
(line2) is used to access
HMI/PLC words.
z The second new line (line 3)
is used to access RTP words.
2 Select Slave Syntax Modbus for both new
lines.
This makes it easier to enter
addresses for the HMI/PLC and
RTP as they are not common I/O
addresses of the STB NIP 2311.
3 Enter these values on line 2:
z RD Length: 10
z WR Length: 20
These values correspond the
HMI/PLC words already
configured.
4 Enter these values on line 2:
z RD Ref Slave: 49488
z WR Ref Slave: 44097
These addresses correspond to
those allocated by the
STB NIP 2311 for HMI/PLC
words.
5 Enter these values on line 2:
z RD Master Object: %MW21
z WR Master Object: %MW111
6 Enter these values on line 3:
z RD Length: 4
z WR Length: 5
These values correspond to the
RTP words already configured.
7 Enter these values on line 3:
z RD Ref Slave: 45303
z WR Ref Slave: 45130
These addresses correspond to
those allocated by the
STB NIP 2311 for RTP words.
8 Enter these values on line 3:
z RD Master Object: %MW31
z WR Master Object: %MW131
9 On the Edit toolbar, click on the Validate button:
10 Select PLC Disconnect. This disconnects Unity Pro from
the PLC, which must be done
prior to build.
11 On the Services toolbar, click the Build button: The configuration should build
without errors or warnings.
12 Download the configuration to the PLC using the
same steps as described earlier.
