Downloading New Configuration Parameters to the Advantys Island
To download the parameters you configured, above, to the NIM:
9 On the Island toolbar, click the I/O Image
Overview button:
The I/O Image Overview window
opens. Notice:
z in the Modbus Image page: The
Advantys Configuration Software
has allocated 4 words of input data
(beginning at memory address
45303) and 5 words of output data
(beginning at memory address
45130).
z In the HMI<->PLC page: There are
10 words of input data and 20
words of output data. These values
correspond to the reserved word
size you entered on the
Parameters tab of the
STB NIP 2311 module editor:
z HMI-to-PLC input words begin
at memory address 49488.
z PLC-to-HMI output words begin
at memory address 44097.
10 Press OK. The I/O Image Overview window
closes.

1 In the Advantys
Configuration Software,
select Online → Connect.
A message box opens asking if you want to save and
build the configuration.
2Press OK. The Data Transfer dialog box opens, and prompts you
to select an option.
3Press Download. A message box opens asking if you want to reset the
island.
4Press Yes.
z The configuration begins downloading to the island.
(This can occur only when the island is in Reset
mode.)
z When the download is complete, the modules flash
blue, and a message box opens asking if you want to
place the island in Run mode.
5Press OK. The Advantys island is now configured and placed into
Run mode.
6 Close the Advantys
Configuration Software.
