The Island Parameters Page
Introduction
The Island Parameters page displays a list of selected island communication
parameters and their current values. All parameters are read-only and are
automatically updated. Parameters include:

Island State
z Auto-Addressing: The NIM is auto-configuring the island bus, which is not started.
z Configuring: The NIM is configuring the island bus, which is not started.
z Configuration Mismatch: Communication with the island bus is not possible and the NIM
stops the island. This can arise from:
z module internal settings
z module ID
z auto-addressing
z configuration of a mandatory module
z process image
z configuration or auto-configuration settings
z bus management settings
z application parameters
z receive/transmit queue software overrun
z Initializing: The island bus is initializing, but is not started or it is without power.
z Mandatory Module Mismatch: There is a configuration mismatch of at least one
mandatory module. The island bus is not started.
z Non-Mandatory Module Mismatch: At least one non-mandatory (or unexpected) module
in the configuration does not match. The island bus is not started.
z Pre-Operational: Initialization is complete, the island bus is configured, and the
configuration matches, but the island bus is not started.
z Reset: The island bus has been put in the pre-operational state by the RST button, or it has
been reset by the Advantys Configuration Software.
z Stopped: The island is in pre-operational mode because one or more mandatory modules
are mismatched.
