Remove the Existing Module and Install a Replacement Module
For information on how to remove an existing network interface module and install
a replacement module, refer to the following topics in the Advantys STB System
Planning and Installation Guide in the section Installing the NIM in the First Location
on the Island:

NOTE: Set the rotary switches on the replacement STB NIP 2311 module to the
same setting as the old one. Before you power up the replacement NIM, insert the
removable memory card with the saved island configuration.
After the new STB NIP 2311 module is installed, apply power to the Advantys island.
On power-up, the stored island configuration is copied from the removable memory
card to the module’s flash memory and applied to island devices.
11 Save the island configuration to the removable memory (SIM) card:
a Be sure a card has been inserted into the NIM (see page 53).
b Copy the configuration to the SIM: select Online Store to SIM to see this
message:
12 Click Yes to close the message box. After the island copies the configuration to the
memory card, the following message appears:
13 Click OK to return the island to its running state.
