Save the Island Configuration to a Removable Memory Card
Save your existing Advantys island configuration settings to a removable memory
card (SIM). As noted above, do this whenever you edit your island configuration.
Step Action
1 Use the Advantys Configuration Software to enter settings for the configurable
devices on the island. Depending on the application, this can include editing:
z the STB NIP 2311 network interface module
z input modules
z output modules
z reflex action
2 Compile the island configuration into a binary file: select Island → Build.
3 Configure the connection settings to the Advantys Island: select Online →
Connection Settings to open the Connection Settings dialog box:
NOTE: This example procedure uses a TCP/IP connection.
4 In the Connection Settings dialog, configure the following:
z Connection Type: Select TCP/IP for this example.
z Modbus Node ID: Use the spin control to set the island node number.
