Quickfit Applications
The TeSys Model U starter-controller is a direct motor-starter which performs the
following functions:
b Protects and controls single phase or 3-phase motors:
v disconnects power,
v protects against overcurrent and short-circuit,
v protects against thermal overload,
v performs power switching.
b Application control:
v protection alarms, application monitoring: duration of use, number of faults, motor
current values etc.
v history.
The starter-controller functions are performed by a click-lock adjustment that
removes the need for cables,
b on a power base 2 (LU2B + LU9 BN11),
b a c 24 V 3 control unit (LUC B/D/C/M ppBL) for 0.09 to 15 kW motors,
b a parallel communication module (LUF C00) 4,
b options (additional contacts, inverter blocks) 5 including LU9 M1p.
Each of the 4 channels of the STB EPI 2145 application-specific module combined
with a TeSys Model U starter has the following features:
b 2 outputs.
v starter control.
v reversal control.
b 3 inputs.
v state of circuit-breaker (position of lever).
v presence of fault (short-circuit, thermal).
v state of main contactor (closed/open).
